Rideshare:

Ubers and Lyfts are not available on the Island so we do not recommend relying on this as a transportation option.

Car Rental:

Car rentals are available at the Charleston airport. We recommend this option for flexibility or if you are not staying at a Kiawah Island Golf Resort accommodation with access to the on island shuttle. Sharing transportation with friends or family is a great option. There are a number of rental options available at the airport including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. Rental Car information can be found at the Charleston Airport website (iflychs.com).

Transportation to Kiawah if not renting a car:

If not renting a car, the best way to travel to and from the Charleston airport and Kiawah Island will be to book a car service in advance of your stay. Here are a few of the companies:

The On Island Shuttle:

Once on the island, guests have access to the complimentary Kiawah Island shuttles if staying at a Kiawah Island Golf Resort accommodation (villa and home rentals through KIGR or the Sanctuary), which can take you to any resort restaurant or amenity across the island. Call extension 82900 and the shuttle will pick you up within 30 minutes of your call (noting pick up can take longer during busy weekend times). The shuttle only runs during specified hours.

Wedding day transportation:

Transportation will be provided to and from the River Course on October 25. The pickup schedule is dependent on where guests are staying so be sure to fill in your accommodations information when you complete the wedding invitation reply card and check back here closer to the wedding date for the full schedule! Return trips will be provided throughout the evening as needed, with final departure at the conclusion of the reception.
